This is my 4th trip to Honduras & my 18th mission trip (both domestic and international).  Every trip has made me more passionate & excited to make a difference in the world.  I am praying that this trip will have the same effect on me & every member of the team.

Prayer requests:

Support-raising – due to circumstances beyond our control, the price of our plane tickets went up & each person must raise $200 more than originally planned.  We are certain that God will provide the funds, but it is nerve-racking nonetheless.

Current construction of New Life Center – many teams will be working on the construction before we arrive.  Pray for those teams and the work that is being done from now until we arrive.

Preparations – pray for us as we work with our friends at GCLA to plan our trip and how to best use our skills, time & resources

Gifts – GCLA has asked us to bring toys for the children at the hospital malnutrition unit, they may ask us to bring other items as well, pray that those gifts will be provided, and that it will all fit in our luggage!

Health – as always, international travel is rough on the body.  Please pray for our team as we try to stay healthy before the trip (even though it’s flu season here).  Also pray for our health on the trip.  Choluteca is in one of the hottest parts of Honduras.  One trip member in 2004 referred to it as the armpit of the world J.  Staying healthy in such a rough climate will require common sense, diligence, and the grace of God.
