There’s another one of these circulating on Facebook, but it was kind of sucky (had Chronicles of Narnia & the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe listed separately, and was missing quite a few obvious ones). So I went out in search of another, more realistic list. Supposedly this list is the 106 books most frequently listed at “unread” by people who catalog their books at LibraryThing.

My score is 9. I kind of suck. And to be totally honest, I think I probably didn’t actually finish (and/or skipped large sections) of all the ones I did read. And yeah, I haven’t read the Silmarillion. I not only fail at pretentiousness, I also fail at nerdiness.
